Rainbow Smoothie


Rainbow Smoothie! Who would resist a title like that? I made this as a post-yoga snack sometime last week, and it was so good. It made me feel like I was on vacation in a tropical paradise, and not in the city. It’s also a very aesthetically pleasing smoothie, my photos do not give it justice. 


*be sure to layer it in this order to create the magical rainbow effect.

  • Red: a handful of frozen strawberries
  • Orange: about a half of a mango
  • Yellow: Most of a banana (Pineapple would be a tasty yellow substitute)
  • Green: Half of a kiwi
  • Blue/Purple: 1/4 cup frozen blueberries

Add 2 tablespoons of chia seeds, and about a half a cup of orange juice, then blend until smooth. Feel free to munch on the left over fruit while you wait. That’s what I did anyways… Then after a minute or so, you should have a beautiful fruit smoothie!
